Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units.He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care.He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program

Licensure/Registration/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS required

Work Experience:

Professional nursing experience of one or more years desirable

Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served

Previous experience in operating room, circulating and scrubbing.
