Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and/or employees by being aware of the safety and health policies of the hospital and adhering to and enhancing these policies via the identification reporting/correcting of unsafe conditions. Performs as an integral member of a multidisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. Carries out assigned tasks and duties required to assist in the organization and management of a safe and therapeutic milieu and performs nursing skills encompassing patient care and relative tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Demonstrates the competencies needed to care for the psychiatric patient.
Requirements:
· High School graduate or equivalent
· CNA Certification preferred OR relevant direct care experience
· Current BLS certificate
