Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.


Summary:

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships between the hospital, the providers and the community, as well as to educate the community about the Wound Care Center services. As well as establish strategic marketing plans and execute activities directed toward increasing appropriate patient referrals to the wound care center(s). The position is accountable for developing positive customer relations with outreach clients and resolving issues in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for building relations between physicians, their office staff and hospital departments.

2. Assist in the development of marketing materials and support other organizational initiatives that impact customer satisfaction

3. Visit providers on a regular basis with written reporting on visits and follow-up as needed.

4. Maintain a daily call log to identify any trends and monitor all activity. Log sheet will be reviewed periodically by the manager to ensure that communication and follow up is done in a timely manner.

5. Assist in the planning of events, luncheons or other activities that will provide an opportunity to promote our services.

6. Establish strategic marketing plans and execute activities directed toward increasing appropriate patient referrals to the wound care center(s).

7. Work collaboratively to best determine key target referral sources, and develop a systematic approach, build customer relationships and increase appropriate wound care center referrals.

8. Maintain, monitor, and update the list of Physician Practice(s) within a given radius of the hospital on an ongoing basis.

9. Visit Physician Practices and interact with key physicians and staff to provide awareness of the Wound Care Center program, using educational marketing materials and documents all physician office interactions and the visits with the Physician Practices.

10. Resolve issues with declining referral sources and identify new potential referral sources. Troubleshoot customer service issues and inform of new services. Coordinate with appropriate Management Teams to correct issues.

11. Assists Director of Wound Care in developing strategic communication plan relating to targeted physicians, services and programs, including new brochures, website content and advertising campaign when appropriate.

12. Assists developing and distributes appropriate patient and referral source communications, including patient education materials. Assists with collection, compilation and preparation of presentation and exhibit materials. Staff exhibit booths as needed.

13. Manage/Coordinate special projects and functions as requested.

14. Additional duties as assigned.

Other information:

Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Public Relations required.

4 years relevant experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving aptitude and sensitive and responsive to customer needs.
Strong background in interacting with physicians, mid-level providers and physician office staff.
Works independently and also in a team setting, and manage multiple roles and demands effectively.
Prior knowledge of/or experience with financial and budgeting process. Proficiency in multiple computer applications, including MS Work and Excel.

Prefer: Background in arranging visits to physicians and interfacing with those physicians, their nurses and front office personnel
