Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

OB SUMMARY: The Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) provides respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital in accordance with established policies and procedures and as prescribed by a physician. This individual will interact with patients of all ages. The Licensed Respiratory Therapist will practice this profession in such capacities as are prescribed by NYS Law, Title VIII Education Law and the Respiratory Department job description.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Have received an education, including completion of an approved Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or in a program determined by the Department of the State Board to be the equivalent.

Licensure/Registration/Certification: Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist to practice in New York State. Basic Life Support certified; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred. Part Time Day/Evening Hours Weekdays and Every Other Weekend.
