Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
Guest Services greets and welcomes all visitors, patients and vendors that enter the facility. The Guest Service Representative is responsible for logging all visitors and patients that enter the main lobby of the hospital and directing them to the correct location. Guest Services also ensure that all current visitation policies are being followed.
The first point of contact for visitors entering the facility. Welcoming everyone and exhibiting high levels of customer service.
Keep record of all visitors that enter the facility and badging them through Passage Point.
Ensuring all visitors/Support person have a Covid Vaccine record on file or a Negative Covid Test.
Denying entry into the building if the visitor does not meet our current visitation policy.
Being able to problem solve when a situation is outside of normal policy and procedure.
Deescalate visitors that are irate and have open communication with security.
Escort Patients to Same Day Surgery, Cath Lab and Endo suites, using a wheelchair if necessary.
Knowledgeable of all areas within the Vassar Brothers Medical Center Campus, including 1 Columbia, Dyson, 21 Reade Place, Legacy building and the Patient Pavilion.
Escort visitors to patient rooms if they need wheelchair assistance.
Escort patients that present in the lobby to the Emergency room.
Deliver patient belongings, flowers etc. in a timely fashion. Maintaining a log of these deliveries.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct customer service.
Education: requires high school diploma or equivalent.
