Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy prepares medication for dispensing, and maintains all records in accordance with Federal and NY State laws and PHC policies and procedures. Performs supportive duties and clerical activities as directed as well as any and all duties assigned. Participates in all pharmacy activities and works to achieve the goals of the institution and department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Medication order processing and dispensing
• Reviews medication order for completeness and appropriateness.
• Conducts patient profile reviews prior to dispensing.
• Provides properly and accurately labeled medications demonstrating understanding of all drug preparation techniques, executing dispensing of medications in a timely manner and ensuring product safety and patient safety as paramount.
• Complies with requirements for Pharmacy Department documentation in all areas in a clear and concise.
• Obtains drugs in select emergency situations

Job Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Pharmacy
• Must hold a current NYS license and registration to practice Pharmacy.
• Six months hospital experience preferred.

Work Type: Per Diem

Work Schedule: Day/Eve

Work Shift: 6:30am-3pm, 8am-4:30pm, and 9am-5:30pm Evening shift is 3pm-11:30pm.

Salary Range: $57.00- $106.00/ Hour. (Depending on experience)
