Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation by meeting requirements of a 4 hour class, accompanying exam, and 40 hours of h&s on training with a qualified monitor tech.
- monitors and reviews patient information to determine baseline cardiac rhythm & prior variances.
- Notifies nursing staff when leads are off patient or of incorrect lead placement. Assists staff with patient skin preparation and correct lead placement as necessary.
- Maintains current knowledge of the technical operation of the central monitoring station.
- Identifies and troubleshoots routine technical problems with the central monitoring system & initiates biomedical repairs as necessary.
Required: Maintain competency for Basic Life Support (BLS). Successful test score on cardiac rhythm interpretation test. Minimum Experience: six months Desired: Acute care experience and prior completion of dysrhthmia recognition course preferred.
