Registered Nurse (Wound Care)- $50K Sign On Bonus Potential!

Job Summary: Responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. These include, but are not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through the use of hospital and nursing standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides case management to a group of patients providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.
2. Acts a patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patient care.
3. Provides efficient and effective care with the guidance of the physician during the clinic sessions, attends the clinics where scheduled and is dependable. Able to manage a number of patients at the same time with high energy and organization.
4. Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center physicians, program director and medical director, regarding clinic and patient needs.
5. Approaches patient in a kind, gentle and friendly manner.
6. Gives patient explanations and verbal reassurances consistently. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse with current CT license. Wound care certification preferred. Medical Surgical, home health or wound care experience also preferred.
• Maintains and demonstrates competence in BLS (basic life support)
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Shift: 7:30a-4p

Salary Range:  $39 - $72 Hourly (DOE)
